Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to St. Mary and St. Paul’s CE Primary School, and thank you for taking time to look at our new website.

At St. Mary and St. Paul’s, we pride ourselves on being a happy, family school. The children enjoy coming to school, and we provide them with a good, all-round education. Our Ofsted inspection in April 2004 said that St. Mary & St. Paul's was "a good place to come and learn" and our recent Ofsted nursery inspection said that the education our nursery provides is "outstanding".

We place a great deal of importance on providing quality teaching and, as a Church school, doing this within a caring, Christian environment.

We hope that children who come to our school fulfil their academic potential, and leave with a broad range of knowledge and good basic skills in the core areas of
maths, English, science and ICT. We also hope that children’s other talents are recognised and rewarded, so that children
who excel in sport, music, art or drama also have the chance to shine. Children who come to St. Mary’s and St. Paul’s
learn to respect people, their culture, their beliefs and their property – and in so doing to become sensible members of the community.
